Johnathan Zeng

Resident

 

Johnathan Zeng was born in Lexington, Kentucky, and his family currently resides in Jersey City, New Jersey. He attended the University of Pennsylvania as a Rachleff Scholar, where he earned a B.S.E. in Bioengineering. After college, he received a Fulbright Scholarship to conduct public health research at Sichuan University in Southwest China. During medical school, he completed a research year at the National Institutes of Health through the Medical Research Scholars Program. Prior to joining the Harvard Radiation Oncology Program, he completed his preliminary medicine internship at Mount Auburn Hospital.

His research interests focus on artificial intelligence applications in oncology, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and imaging-based biomarkers such as FaceAge. His current work explores the development of clinically grounded AI tools to improve patient communication, informed consent, prognostication, and shared decision-making in cancer care.
